Jhay Lisa is here again and today it’s all about Red Red thus beans with plantainπππRed red, popularly known as beans, which is one of Ghanaians most eaten meal, taken with fried plantain. The dish derives its name from the reddish colour it takes from the red palm oil popularly called “zomi” likewise that of the fried plantain.

Beans ne kokooπππ, the food is called “Borbor” or “veyi” by the Ewe and “Gorb3” by the twi’s as well. The beans are used across Ghana, as staple foods. The red red is a healthy food that helps in reducing heart disease likewise cancer. Eating red red also reduces the blood cholesterol levels.
It is however common to find red red as black eyed beans, but any beans will however do also.

Digging much into all recipes of red -red for a total enjoyment, then plantain is not an outcast if you are not able to access some, note that, the red-red can be served with boiled rice.
It may also be served with fresh vegetables.

A food can’t be called “Ebo” without its been balanced. The food is packed with fiber, protein, vitamins A, C and B-6 which will keep Sustain you fully giving you full Stamina for hours. These vitamins are important and needed in the body most especially for those who want to loss weight and can’t stand feeling hungry all time.
